KTM fire dampers are designed for installation in general ventilation systems as shut-off partitions separating the fire zone from the rest of the building (normally open type). The function of these doors is to stop the spread of fire, temperature and smoke. Regardless of the position of the axis of rotation of the cut-off partition (i.e. at an axis tilt angle of 0÷360°), the doors are designed for horizontal (in walls) and vertical (in ceilings) installation and outside the partition. KTM type valves comply with fire resistance class EIS120. This means they meet the classification criteria of fire resistance, insulation and smoke resistance for 120 minutes.

Shut-off valves type KTM can also be installed in the partitions of buildings with a fire resistance class below EI120. In the case of such use, the above-mentioned sashes have a fire resistance equal to the fire resistance of the partition while maintaining the smoke-tightness criterion. The effectiveness of the sashes is confirmed by tests according to the PN-EN 1366-2 standard.
